AME Program in Delhi for EASA Part-66

WHAT IS EASA PART 66 COURSE?

An EASA course is one that is approved by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). This is a global authority that sets the standards for aviation design, safety, construction and maintenance procedures.

EASA Part 66 Category B1.1, the course that IIA offers, pertains to Aircraft Maintenance License (AML) of the Mechanical engineering stream. On successful completion of the course, the student is a Maintenance Certifying Technician – Airplanes Turbines.

Course Location: The EASA Part-66 Training is carried out at EASA Part 147, New Delhi. For the hands-on experience with operational aircraft, your training will be conducted at the Mumbai facilities of Air India Engineering Services Ltd and Indamer Aviation Pvt. Ltd.

Eligibility: Minimum age 15 years, valid passport, Secondary School Certificate (SSC), school leaving certificate, medical fitness certificate and some knowledge of the English language.

COURSE CURRICULUM

Most EASA Part 66 Aviation Courses are intensive courses that give you the actual experience of working with airplanes. The B1.1 course offered by Indian Institute of Aeronautics, Delhi, consists of the following modules:

Each module involves intense practical training sessions to make you conversant with the maintenance of airplane turbines; keeping in mind the stringent safety rules laid down by EASA.

At the end of the module-wise training, eligible students have to appear for written tests which are conducted by the Indian Institute of Aeronautics. As per EASA guidelines, only when a candidate obtains minimum 75% aggregate an Aircraft Maintenance License is conferred for EASA Part 66 Category B1.1.
