The DGCA, Govt of India issues regulatory guidelines for the approval and operation of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Colleges or AME Colleges which needs to perform and demonstrate the training & examination procedures as stipulated in their AME Course curriculum.

To ensure successful AME Admission in the DGCA approved AME college, the regulatory guidelines mandate a candidate to satisfy the following conditions;
- Having passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics as his/her majors
- Minimum age at the time of admission to be 16 years
- Physically & medically fit with no colour blindness
- Possess valid passport or Aadhar card
- Basic knowledge of English language
- Diploma holders in Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics stream may also apply.
